Dual 1080P Front and Rear Dash Cam
Both cameras simultaneously record front and rear at 1920x1080 30fps, which will comprehensive coverage of the road behind you.
Featuring a Sony Starvis sensor, allows you to achieve the best results of shooting video in different conditions and modes of operation. The Single front dash camera records videos up to a resolution of 4k 2880*2160P/24FPS;1920*1080P/60FPS during day and night.
Live Speed Recording
Built-in GPS module accessory enables the front and rear GPS dash cam to the location and coordinates of the motor vehicle. The logging of such details can be played back showing the car’s location, exact route, speed(KM/H or MP/H) on Google Maps via Vantrue GPS Player. You can easily access your live speed on dash cam during driving.
24 Hours Parking Mode
Auto switch to Parking Mode when dual lens dash cam senses no movement in 5 minutes. Triggered by the motion sensor, both cameras will automatically record when people or things come closer in front of the vehicle. Please hardwire it (ASIN: B07V3F1VFX ) or connect it with an external battery pack when parking.
Loop recording overwrites the oldest footage with the newest upon filling a card to capacity. While once the car impacted while driving or in parking mode, the G-sensor will automatically lock the footage to "Event File" to prevent it from being overwritten.
Built-in supercapacitor
Built-in supercapacitor instead of lithium battery, which withstands extreme temperatures from -4 to 158°F enables the 2-way dash cam to more reliable, heat-resistant, longer life span than batteries.
Sony Night Vision
Combined with the F1.47 large aperture and superior HDR (high-Density Recording) technology, the car dash cam is able to adjust for the light and dark parts of the frame so that your nighttime shots are always clear and vibrant.

was sad abut my purchase when I was trying to go into the settings but the settings button wasn't working. Realized that you need to stop the video recording to be able to change the settings. Everything is exactly as I expected. great video/picture/audio quality, good field of vision, not really discreet as the unit/len pointing out the front is fairly large but discretion wasn't really what I was going for anyway. don't care if people know I am recording them as long as everything else performs well, which it does
This seems to be a good camera so far. Had more than enough cable to install in a crew cab ford. Power cable is nice and long, and picture quality is pretty good. The kit it comes in is pretty nice, includes extra 3m stick pads for the future. The g sensor seems to work well and the motion activates really well as well to.
We will be returning both the Vantrue S1 dash cam units and look for another brand. There are a few issues with these cameras. First big one is the cable mounted design for the rear camera. It's a 90 degree bend that plugs into the camera which interferes with camera angle adjustments. When mounted, the camera keeps floating upwards away from focusing on rear traffic and pointing at the sky!!! Not what we wanted.Second, one of the front camera does not work. It will turn off a few minutes in and will not come back on. There may be a power issue with either the cable itself of the unit. A friend of mine said it could be due to overheating because the first day I had it mounted and went out, it was 99 degrees outside. Inside the car was over 140 degrees easily when not using the AC after coming back from shopping. The unit itself would not turn on. After a long while in the AC, it finally comes back on. Uhh, that's not good. Dash cams are suppose to be designed for extreme heat on the dash of all places, lol. Otherwise, where else are we suppose to mount it? On the bottom of the seats away from the heat source? lol. So, the unit is defective. The other one seems to work ok, but I did not take it out and the car's been sitting in the garage. I'll bet if I took it out and parked it somewhere under the sun, it would shut off too.Either way, I am returning both to Amazon and requesting a refund because these cameras are not what I expected. They're expensive as it is to be such an inferior design. They do not work and poor cable placement. Whoever the engineer that designed this camera needs to start over.I will not be purchasing Vantrue products again as this is my last and only time...........
This customer looked forward to having a 2-camera system that would provide a motion sensor. The Vantrue S1 does NOT cut the mustard. During low and no light and zero motion, such as parked in my garage, the camera records. Yes, it records constantly and I set the controls properly. When hard wired this will drain the battery. The motion feature was oversold and does not work as advertised and as noted form the emails I received from Vantrue. I paid to have the camera installed so feeling kind of stuck with it. Now will have it changed to switched installation (not hard wired) and use a power pack/charger.Get your act together, Vantrue. You should come clean about the S1 unit. Also, noted--grainy night video playback, excellent daytime but unable to read license plates with night video and only close up (3ft) with day video. If you insist on hard wiring then do not park the unit with the wires too close to your car GPS (re: passenger side).
Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.
Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.
Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.
Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.
Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.
Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
