They tell you, you must buy their SD card for their camera so I did. Worthless camera still lost data. I think this is the same as any sd card and they are full of it.
I got the sd card for my dashcam and when I tried to use the card it would not work , it could not be read. I formatted the card and the camera still does not recognize it. Very frustrated.
I put the Vantrue SD card in my Vantrue Dashcam and got an error message. When I ejected it and pinched the card to remove it I got a burn for my troubles. I thought “burned by a little SD Card? Looked it up and they can in fact overheat. Glad it didn’t trash my cam! Amazon was great about returning and crediting me!
Vantrue N2 Pro does not support high capacity micro sd cards. Do not buy this if you think this card might work because it is branded the same. I thought it might work but it didn't.
I bought this device just one day after I bought the V4 dash Cam and it does not work at all. I plug it into my dash Cam and it says that I need to format it then I go to format it and then says that there is an SD card error with a brand new and undamaged, unused card. Everywhere I looked online said that vantrue does not respond to any complaints or product deficiencies so I'm just opting to buy a different card and a hopefully get a refund.
This card totally sucks, it is in constant need of formatting which deletes all previously recorded content. I missed the return time frame so now I’m stuck with it I guess.
This tiny chip can hold an amazing amount of literature. Currently I've used about 5 GB to load 210 items into my Kindle. But these aren't just individual books but collections: The complete works of Shakespeare, the complete works of P.G. Wodehouse, 50 novels to read before you die, and so on. This chip, about the size of my little fingernail, could easily hold everything in my library, a library of far more than 5,000 books.
Has constant storage errors which requires formatting. This is recommended for Vantrue dash cams but anything will work better than this, about like the dash cam, it stopped working and had to return.
I use this SD card on a Vantrue camera and I have to keep reformatting it several times per week. I contacted their support twice without response. I would avoid buying.
The card is installed in my Vantrue N4 car camera. It errors out every 2 weeks. And tells me to format it it. I've been trying to contact Vantrue, but they do not reply. Customer service is very bad. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you buy it and throw it away as any other cheap product, because Vantrue does not honor warranty. All I wanted was a replacement. No reply yet.
This works great on the Vantrue N4 3 Channel Dash Cam setup. Not a fan on the price, I know I had other options to choose from but I want to have a guaranteed value for my dash cam to work fully functional and ever lasting. formatting was easy.
I bought this for my Vantrue Cam WOULDNT WORK!. So I returned it Returned SD Card now they are after for me saying I didn't return. NOt worth the trouble thumbs down for a rpduct that won't work for a product it was supposed to.
I like that it works right out of the package without any formatting needed. With 256gb of storage space I don't have to worry about rewritten over videos as often as when I was using a 64gb card in my VanTrue N2 Pro Dashcam.
This sd memory card should be full to 256GB,but there is only 233. Missing 24GB ?This is terrible, and storage space loose so many GB. It is not worth that value what I paid for!
Don't mess around pinching pennies. Get the card the manufacturer designed specifically for the dashcam. I feel confident in purchasing Vantrue products. I have tested the card in my computer and it recognized. If you pay attention to the "other brands" their warranties don't cover use in dashcams and I am betting your dashcam won't be as forgiving either. I pleased with the quality and presentation of every Vantrue product I have puchased including this micro SD card. I have had pleasant experiences and communication with Vantrue's customer service asking questions. I am very confident they would resolve any issues arising from a faulty product. Most negative reviews I have seen are what I would deem as issues of consumers trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Buy from Vantrue with CONFIDENCE!
With this much space for my dashcam to record at such a high rate of quality, this is awesome.Best thing was that I didn’t have to format it before use. Just put it in the dashcam and it does all of the work.Comes with adapter and I use it to view the videos from my laptop.
Cameras were good. But I could not load anything to my laptop or TV and could not get help from Vantrue. I could not get on to Vantrue's web site. Everytime I opened up an account they would assign me another password because it tell me my name and password was already taken. (7 times). Also kept getting an error Codexc which kept me from loading movies & photos to laptop and TV. Help was terrible from Vantrue. Sent back for complete REFUND. Never again.
So far I have had to reformat the card every 15 days or so. Vantrue says to buy their product micro sd at a more expensive price to avoid that. Well, it does not avoid that. Just a cash grab lie. Paid 50 dollars for a lesser quality micro sd card. Will avoid this brand and I hope consumers do too.
I bought this micro SD card with a Vantrue N4 dash cam because the description recommends this one and said not to use a sandisk or transcend card. I ended up having to purchase two of these cards because the first one was lost in shipping. When one did come, it failed to format in the dash cam and a computer wouldn’t even recognize the card. After attempting to format it in the dash cam, I took the card out and it was ridiculously hot for being used for only about 30 seconds. I also tried plugging the dash cam into a wall outlet with the card in it and it would glitch out and turn on and off repeatedly in 2-3 second intervals. It would record in black & white, flip the camera, the screen would blink rapidly, etc.I contacted customer service about all of these issues and left my number for a phone call that was promised within 24 hours. They never called, one person emailed me later and told me that I needed to update my dash cam to format my micro SD card. However the only way to actually update your dash cam is to do so with a micro SD card that is ALREADY formatted and working properly. Plus my dash cam’s firmware did not need to be updated as it was brand new. Customer service had no response for the lost card and hasn’t issued a refund for either one yet.I returned this card and purchased a sandisk ultra card for much cheaper at target. I found that sandisk resolved their micro SD card issues in dash cams over 2 years ago. As long as you buy a newer one that has “A1” stamped on it. It works flawlessly, I can view and save the videos on my computer or dash cam and none of the previous problems have occurred since.
I purchased this as it met my needs i that it heat resistant, etc. I got it for a dash cam I purchased and it needs to be as strong as this is. Imagine the heat of a parked car in the summer, this handles that very well
SD card worked perfectly. I just feel the price was super high. The company recommences you use only their SD Card, not included, then charges a higher price than other comparable cards.
I initially bought this card for a Vantrue 4K dash cam. I sold the camera and replaced it with a BlackVue DR900S with front and rear camera. I transferred this card into the BlackVue, formatted it and it has run solid ever since. I'm running both cameras at their highest resolution (4K front, 1080P rear) and have had no issues with heat or read/write speeds. This is a good, reliable card at a reasonable price. I highly recommend it for 4K dash cams and similar applications.
Ive used 128 GB cards in the past. Now that SD cards are dropping in price, I figured this was the way to go. A 256 Gb SD card that can handle the write speeds is a plus. Transfer times are quick. Being able to record up to 13 hours of video on this card is a huge plus. I try to reformat my card every couple of weeks. Seems to give them a little longer life.
Card stopped working after only 3 months. I formatted about every 2-3 weeks like the instructions said to do, and it can no longer be formatted even by 3rd party software. One day it just stopped working all together and can’t be fixed.
I own a ton of sandisk micro sd cards for use in my drone, gopro, etc. I specifically purchased this one as it was noted in the description of the dashcam I was purchasing (Vantrue N2 Pro) that sandisk cards would not work properly and that the vantrue card was recommended. I purchase both, put the vantrue card into my dashcam and was immediately greeted with an sd card error telling me to format. No problem.. go to format the card and then was greeted with yet another error message saying that the card could not be formatted and I should be using a class 10 card, which the vantrue sd card is.. I try a few more times to no avail, so I finally say screw it.. i'll take the vantrue card out and try one of my sandisk cards. I go to take the card out and I noticed that the area of the dashcam by the SD card was quite warm. I take the card out and immediately have to drop it on the floor as it was incredibly hot to the touch. If you were to pinch the card in between two fingers I have no doubt it would have caused a minor burn. So anyway.. I try one of my sandisk cards, the ones that aren't supposed to work, and low and behold they work fine. Save your money on this trash and buy an actual quality card from sandisk, lexar or samsung
It was a little difficult to set up in the beginning. Because the instruction book is so small I could barely read . So I watched a video on line and that made more simple. I wish it hooked up to my phone. That would make it more easy to retrieve video
I got this because I wanna have the best and vantrue provides the best! They have the best dash cam and best SD card it’s a must have if your going to have the N4 your going to need this!
At first it didn’t work for my Vantrue N2 Pro. I had to look up and go to the website and found out I had to upgrade the firmware in order to use 256gb. They recommend putting it on a 8-64gb and I downloaded it and dragged it onto the 256gb. Hooked it up to my Vantrue N2 pro and it updated and was able to use the 256gb micro as card.
No issues thus far and have been running my Vantrue dash cam for about 1.5 months straight. The only recommendation I have is, design the packaging to be able to reclose so the adapter doesn't fall out.
Used once with Vantrue dashcam and this Micro SD stopped working. No device (Vantrue dashcam, laptops, desktop, or tablets) would recognize this micro SD card. Trash.
So far it has performed as expected. We'll see how long this lasts though as I am using it in a dash camera. It's not an endurance one that is recommended for dash cam use so let's see how long it lasts.
This goes well with my previous purchase of a dash cam. I needed it and it is a must so your dash cam can operate longer. We drive long trips so this will help to record more. I recommend it for those who drives a lot.
Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.
Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.
Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.
Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.
Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.
Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
