New favorite dash cam! Awesome features!Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2019
I used to have an old dash cam from Transcend and finally decided to upgrade to this new one b/c of resolution and features. In just a few minutes I was super happy with the dash camera, well thought out features. First, the camera quality is superb you can record the front camera up to 1440p! The rear one is only 1080p which was plenty, to begin with. Now for features... you have the option to record both the front and rear or only the front camera. This is great if you have camera shy passengers or just don't need to record the driver's seat. Also, the video stores the front and rear videos as separate files, this way if you ever need to submit an insurance claim you don't absolutely need to submit the clip of you picking your boogers at the stoplight. Next feature is that it auto loop records the files and deletes the oldest non-needed/ protected file. Thus you never need to manage the file system. If the camera detects a large movement (a crash) via the g-sensor it will automatically protect that stored clip so that it is not erased, automatically and so you can retrieve it later for evidence. Next most important feature is auto off display. Yes, it is cool having the display show you what it is recording but at night it just becomes a big distraction. You can have the camera turn off the display and keep recording after 1, 2, or 3 minutes of driving. BTW the camera auto detects when the car is powered on and will start/stop recording. The last great feature is that is has a small built-in battery. Thus when you turn the car off/power is disconnected it will record up to 3 minutes. This is great b/c in a catastrophic accident it could still record if the car lost power. However, I find it super useful for evidence when I want to remember what the location I parked at looked like. All around a great camera, and hope for many years of use!
