Edit: I'm editing my review down from a 5 star to a 1 star for a major problem with these cameras. The battery.After owning the camera for about a year, the date and time started resetting itself often. This is bad because the camera overwrites the oldest files with new ones. So if everytime you drive it resets, your footage gets erased immediately. There's also been times where I've had near collisions and went to view the footage and that specific segment is deleted but the rest of the before and after is there. I have no idea how that happens unless it has to do with the sensor that's supposed to capture it malfunctioned.I contacted Vantrue and at first it seemed promising as they told me to record footage of the problem and provide an invoice. After doing so, they said my warranty was expired (it was malfunctioning during the warranty, I should've reported it sooner so that's on me.)They said they'd offer me a discount but only on this same exact model with the malfunctioning batteries!! This camera isn't suitable for daily use if it gets hot or cold where you live and it WILL malfunction. There are many people with the same issue.The good news is that Vantrue has released a new version the has a supercapacitor instead of a battery. I asked them if I could get a discount since I paid $200 for this camera and they said no. So I personally will be looking elsewhere for a better company to do business with but if you do choose this one, please do not buy this camera. Buy the new n2s version instead. It'll save you a lot of money and unfortunate customer service experience.Pros:Very easy to hook upSturdy constructionGreat warranty (18 months if you register it)Very fast transferring files.Profesional company behind it.They update the firmware and actually fix issues.Cons:The screen is a bit hard to see if you review on the device itself.
