Parking Mode/PowerReviewed in the United States on January 28, 2019
Enough reviews for the actual operation of the product but here is one for the power/parking mode that isnt clearly addressed anywhere. Unless I am doing something wrong here is what I see:Utilizing the hardwire kit you only have two options, power through accessory circuit (power only when key on) or power from battery (power all the time).Problem 1 - when powered through accessory circuit camera will only work when key on (unable to take advantage of parking mode)Problem 2 - when powered from battery camera is on all the time. Which means you must choose constant looping where camera will never stop recording, or parking mode where camera will only record when movement is detected from front camera ONLY (misinformation out there).Parking mode problem 1 - Any camera front/rear should activate recording but doesnt leaving rear/inside not protected.Parking mode problem 2 - Your choice in battery power mode is LCD on all the time (dumb) or a time limit then auto shutoff. But the problem there is the LCD will not ever turn back on unless you press the menu button. No big deal? read problem 3Parking mode problem 3 - there is no external red blinking light indicating the camera is doing anything at all, so you never know if the camera is even working or not unless you turn on the LCD screen and look for the red circle indicating camera is recording. I dont want to have to press a button to know things are functional still.Seems trivial, but for a vehicle where many users are going to be using it (and possible changing settings) there must be an easier way to just know its recording. a simple external LED light would solve that, or an easier work around fix for the manufacturer would be to upgrade firmware to have LCD turn on when recording start for the preset time limit that way those getting into the vehicle know that its on and working.
