Well worth the money and peace of mind. Quality build and picture quality is great. Have mine plugged into my 12v socket which is always powered on. The camera will power on and off automatically so it won't run your battery down. Would definitely buy again and will most likely buy another one for my wife's car just to have for video proof in case of accident.
