Its not what you are expecting, be advisedReviewed in the United States

For something that claims 4k quality the outcome is way worst that you believe it will be, I know that most of these cheap cameras that states high quality image do not deliver what you expect from them so I setup mine as full-hd @60fps wandering if the results on a small for!at could be satisfactory, but no, even of you set like this to all image quality is deep poor, I'm not even trying it at "4k" cause I already know it will be even worst, but same way I could don't anything better so farr

Cons: it is a little difficult to go through the settings. If I want to turn the microphone on/off for example, it takes many stepsto do so. The process should be easier.Pros: easy installation. Good quality. I have a hatchback and it helps with the back cormers.

Took a little time to stash the cord for the rear camera connection in the headliner but that will all depend on your car. I was pleased with the setup and hardwired it into the car. The footage I've reviewed was very good and I honestly hope I never need it to clarify what really happened in an incident but it looks like it should do the job well.

The camera is fine. Does the job. No complaints. This review is mostly about Vantrue customer service.I broke the rear camera module: I ripped the cord out and broke the connector when putting something awkward into my trunk. I couldn’t find a replacement rear camera to buy. I reached out to their support team and they are sending me a replacement rear camera under warranty. I was very pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the exchange.

Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.

Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.

Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.

Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.

Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.

Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
