I am thrilled with this dash cam. I have bought three so that I can have one in each of my vehicles. I am able to read license plates from the front and rear camera. The inside camera offers a nice wide field of view, so it will help during police stops. The equipment is well made, easy to install and operate. I recommend that you also use the GPS module and the Vantrue hardwire kit. If you are looking for a dash cam this one is hard to beat and well worth the money.
By far the best dash camera I have ever used. The front, rear, and interior quality is perfect. day time and night time. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dash cam. Setup was very easy and straight forward. Money well spent, now I feel safe knowing I have everything recorded and saved.
I'm one of those people who doesn't like to read instructions for some reason. That being said, the set up was super easy, barely an inconvenience using the quick start guide. Plenty of cable to tuck and hide cables into the headliner, over to and down the door frame molding, then up under the lower front dash section (below steering wheel and above pedals) and plugged in to the 12V accessory plug in.The unit itself is surprisingly light. This is my first dash cam so I don't have anything to compare it to, but the weight, or lack thereof really surprised me. The suction cup is easy to attach to the windshield, and holds well. Adjustments are easy to make, and the resolution is fantastic. Sound records really well also. I'll have to stop making little odd grunting noises when I drive. Didn't even know I did that until watching some video of the cabin. The rear camera I just have laying on something in the back area, under the rear window. I don't want to stick it onto the defrost lines on the window, so I'm looking for something that I can attach it to, that will get it up a little higher for a better view, then set it down, maybe with some velcro so it stays put.The only issue I've had so far is that the last files before removing the sd card to not seem to be playable. It could be me, I'll have to play around with it some more in the coming days and will update if the issue continues, or if I resolve it.Other than that I'm super happy I bought this particular dash cam. Sure it's a little pricey, but worth it imo. Buy once, cry once, as the old axiom goes.
Recently, I purchased N4 dash cam. It seems I have problem with front camera, it doesn't give a clear image. Providing extremely blurry image after 20-30 second. Please let me know if I’m missing something or there is something that I reconfigure.
I've had so many cameras that I lost track. My previous one was a Junsun and it was great but it died immediately as soon as the car turned off.Decided to get a new dash camera, specifically one that saved files. I also got a Vantrue fuse adapter, so that's even more awesome. I'm super super happy with this dash cam so far.It has three cameras. First camera records to the front, second records to the rear, and third records the inside of the vehicle. The inside camera is great for ride-sharing drivers such as Uber and Lyft. The internal camera also has night vision LED lights, which will makes recording passengers much easier. It's also great for recording the sides of the car.The video quality is fantastic. I don't mean "okay". I don't mean "good". It's fantastic. There are multiple "quality settings" to choose from to get the best quality vs space usage on the SD card. In terms of storage, I got a 256 GB card because I plan on having it record in parking mode, so I want to be able to check the stored content after a night of being parked. However, I would get a smaller capacity card if only using it while driving. Additionally, I'm using highest resolution to get the best quality video. The rear camera quality is top notch. I can easily make out license plates on the rear camera. The cabin camera is top notch. The front camera is top notch. Really fantastic. The camera uses a super capacitor instead of a lipo battery, and it's long term, that's much better because lipo batteries will start to lose function over time and in extreme heat of the sun, or extreme cold. The main reason I got this camera is because I wanted to record the car's surrounding, and catch someone if the car was scratched or hit from the side. Front and rear cameras can't do that. This one, which points to the inside of the cabin, with the wide angle, can view the sides of the car.Inside the box, there is a well written manual with easy to follow instructions, but to be honest, I didn't read them too much, since everything is pretty self-explanatory. That said, the instructions and pictures are intuitive and easy to follow. The camera came with a 12V charger, camera, rear camera and cable, usb cable, and window mount. The top of the camera has three large buttons for menu navigation. The side has a microSD card slot, an input for the rear camera USB-C port (also doubles as a way to get videos off the microSD card), a reset button and HD out.The inside-facing camera can be rotated up and down to get better angles of the cabin.Rear-camera mount also rotates up and down to get a better angle of the outside. The rear camera comes with a long cable. I had no problem at all going from the rear of my car to the front. The mount has a really nice turning feature to apply the suction cup to the window.Overall, it was super easy to set up and get it going. Menu system is very intuitive. Also, I got a vantrue fuse splitted to power the camera 24/7. I set up motion capture. Now, when anything moves in front of the camera or the car is bumped, it will record that for me to review later.
I feel much safer having this camera because I know that if I get hit by another vehicle, I have proof of what transpired. It takes very clear video day and night. The unit is very light and I like that it can be turned a little to accommodate the vehicle. Only complaint is that the suction cup isn't the greatest, but my fiancé does not have a problem with his so that could be user error. I used 3m double sided padded tape to stick it to my windshield though and now it works just fine.
I recently upgraded from the VanTrue N2 Pro to the latest VanTrue N4 dash camera. This camera is a 3 cam version, which includes a rear camera, in addition to the front and cabin cams. I find this combination really useful, because I have complete coverage, should anything happen on either end. The video is crisp and clear and installation was a snap. I will continue to update as I use it, but in the short time I have had it, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

I just installed this today. So, I don't have extensive experience with it yet. However, I would like to comment on the fact that you're REQUIRED to use the suction cup mount. You do not have an alternative mounting option as it receives power through the suction cup mount. And, I simply do not like that. I've never had good experiences with them. In fact, this camera fell down three times in the ten minutes I was hanging it. I'm going to try it for a few days, but this is likely going to be returned.
I’ve been an owner of dash cam for years and value not risking any possible blame or fraud in an accident. With my past experience in dash cams, I would have struggles with setting up, installing and then realizing how the video would not be clear. My big struggle was how I felt I was missing coverage aside from blurry videos that barely shown the license plates. When I found Vantrue’s N4, I instantly felt like this was what I was missing. Front camera 1440p, interior and rear were 1080p! The night mode was amazing, I was surprised at how well I could see the details of my car’s interior. As for setup, Vantrue’s N4 is by far the easiest to set up. A huge reason why I took out my old dash cams was because of the confusing menu format and button format. I kept getting confused on what button did what and would always accidentally lock a video clip when I just wanted to stop recording to get into the menu. The Vantrue N4’s menu is clean and easy to understand. The button format is very simple and I was able to go through it without even checking the manual and playing around with it.Installation:Installing the dashcam was a breeze, the suction cup for the front camera was a seller for me as well because I was tired of taking the time to take out the front camera because of the adhesive. With the suction cup mount I can easily take out the dash cam if I want or even upgrade to the GPS tracker in the near future! Now with the N4 in my car, I am glad to know that the videos are crisp and I have coverage for my car from front, interior and rear! If I need to I can relocate the dash cam easily or upgrade it with the GPS module!
I purchased the Vantrue N2 Pro because it was advertised as a dash cam for Uber & Lyft drivers. Having had a few rowdy passengers as an Uber driver myself, I decided the N2 was the camera for me because it captures both exterior and exterior. The N2 Pro was a great quality camera. The only problem with the N2 Pro was its internal battery. If the camera lost power even for a moment, the date and time would default back to 2018. I purchased the hardwire kit to connect the camera to a hot connection in the fuse box. The camera would still function, but that battery life made it less than perfect. So I decided an upgrade was in order. This brings me to the Vantrue N4 3 Channel camera. I was looking for a new camera that would provide a more stable power supply. I was delighted to learn that Vantrue had created the N4. The N4 doesn't have an internal lithium battery like the N2 Pro. It is super capacitor powered. I purchased the hard wire kit to wire it directly to the fuse box as I had before. However, I haven't had time to do that yet. So the camera shuts off when I turn off the engine. And yet it retains all the settings even after sitting with no power for hours. This is already better than my first camera. All the other features I liked about the N2 Pro are included in the N4. Both cameras are simple to set up. They've improved upon the video quality in the N4. The button controls on the N2 Pro were a little awkward to reach on the bottom of the camera. The N4's buttons are located across the top which makes them easier to see and touch the right ones. The LCD screen on the N4 is a bit larger. I am very pleased with the new Vantrue N4. I highly recommend this camera.I tried to upload a few short videos showing interior and exterior day time and night driving. Apparently the limit is one upload per review.
I compared the N4 with the N2 Pro and made a YouTube video. I think it's highly recommended to get the N4. The inside cabin camera y way better with WDR. You can also view outside without it getting over exposed. Also the main front camera has much better low light capability with its 1.4 aperture. So you get more detail and less noise.
I was in the market for a Dashcam and came across the N4. I was originally going to purchase the N2 Pro, but what pushed me towards N4 was the 3rd camera for recording rear traffic. I now have visibility in the front, rear and interior cabin. Image quality is crisp and clear. The setup process was straight forward. I was able to get everything complete in approximately 10 min.I'm happy with the product and glad I have a tool to record and keep me safe on the road. Vantue's support team is great and they defintely have a return customer!. I would recommend this to my friends and family.
I bought this camera because I drive for Lyft and Uber. This camera has great video quality. It was also very easy to set up! This camera is definitely worth the price!
I bought this dash cam for my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I love the fact that out of the box, you get a three channel camera (front, rear and interior) plus a display and all sorts of options. In addition to the dash cam, I also purchased the GPS mount, SD card and hard wire kit.As you can see in the video, the recording is extremely high quality. For the purposes of this review, I disabled audio and didn't include the internal video but all work and are excellent. The parts and accessories are all high quality. Everything is packaged professionally and the product comes with full color manuals that explain completely how the product should be installed and how it functions.I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would certainly get it again for another vehicle.
I became a ‘fan’ of Vantrue last year when I had an automobile accident due to the negligence of another driver. It was a major accident totaling my $100,000 Jeep Trackhawk. The Vantrue video that I provided to the police officer and insurance company showed I was not at fault. That was the 2 channel model, I have now bought the 3 channel model and couldn’t be happier! Its even better, it watches inside of the vehicle, the front and the rear. Its another step up in technology over the prior model. Please if you drive a car, you owe it to yourself to buy one of these to provide and eye witness to ‘what happened‘ in the event of an accident. I have tried other models (I own multiple cars) this newest version is my favorite yet!
I like this product. I had cheaper camera, that only recorded what was happening in front of my car. By the nature of my activity, I need a camera that will record not only outside but also inside my car. On YouTube, in reviews of dash cameras, this brand takes one of the leading places. I watched a lot of videos on this topic. It also influenced my choice. This one has a very decent image. I have something to compare with and yes it is. A cheaper camera has a much worse picture, although they claim the quality of full HD, but this is far from the case. The design of camera is actually very nice, I really like it. This camera is more expensive than many others, but those that record the interior of the car are more expensive. I have been using this camera for two weeks now and I am satisfied.
I replace my Vantrue N2 Camera with the Vantrue N4.The only problem I had was with the power cable. Because I had the camera hardwire for the N2 I had to purchase an adapter for the N4. USB Type-C Male to USB Mini-B 5-Pin Female USB 2.0. It work great. I also purchase the Vantrue Memory Chip and GPS so far it has worked great. I will have some additional test video once it been running for a couple of days.
I've had the X1 Dash Cam from Vantrue for about the past two years and finally decided to upgrade and go for a higher quality dash cam. This dash cam records both 1440p and 1080p for the front and rear cameras. The front dash cam will record both the front of the vehicle and also the cabin if you so choose and is held onto the windshield by a suction cup while the rear cam is attached via a sticky pad that attaches to the rear windshield. Currently I have the dash cam just recording the front and rear as I don't have a need for the cabin at the moment, but maybe that will change. Overall the quality is pretty dang good during the day and acceptable at night (still have some tinkering around to do with the settings). I would advise to have someone help setup the rear cam so you can see exactly the angle it's recording before you stick on the dash cam to your windshield. The only thing I would say to be aware of is as you can see in the front picture the front cam is average size so it's not going to blend in your car as you're driving along, but if you don't care about that it's a great product. Vantrue customer service is always extremely helpful and quick to respond to all my questions even about my old X1 dash cam that I no longer use. Overall I would recommend this product to everyone because you never know when some idiot is going to come out of nowhere and hit you and either drive away or claim it was your fault. Invest in your property and yourself with this dash cam.
Excellent dash cam. This is my 3rd Vantrue dash cam, and they all work great. This is the first 3 channel camera I've seen. Great camera for Uber/Lyft/Taxi drivers. Allows you to record out windshield, rear window, and inside vehicle. IR lenses captures all night activity inside vehicle. Can hold up to 256 GB Micro SD card. Would definitely recommend to others. Vantrue makes excellent products.
After spending an hour properly installing the front and rear camera, I turned it on. Within 5 mins, the front camera wire connection started smoking. I pulled the front camera cord out, burning my fingertip in the process, and noticed the connecting spots were melting. I'm returning the product for now, but am willing to give it another chance. Amazon is sending a replacement. For now, this gets 1 star = DANGEROUS. I'll update this review after testing the replacement soon.UPDATE: The seller gave refunded $30 and sent a replacement. It is now installed and the replacement works well, no additional issues.
Another winner from Vantrue. If you're a rideshare driver or just want complete coverage of your vehicle front back and inside in one package, this is the camera for you. This is an upgrade to me from the N2 Pro's 1080p30fps front and cabin cameras w/night vision.1440p front, 1080p cabin and 1080p rear all running at 30fpsYou can run the cameras in various combinations (front+cabin+rear, front+cabin, front+rear, front only) and with various resolutions from 720p to 1080p up to 2592x1520p(front only mode) the options are nice but if you're looking for a 3 channel camera setup then you're running all 3 at highest resolution which is the 1440x1080x1080.Picture quality is the same great clear detailed image as the n2 pro and better. I'm still experimenting with the exposure settings up and down for day vs night brightness.Night vision in cabin at nighttime sees front and rear passengers well.Audio quality is great and plays over all 3 video recordings in the files. (Bass in music does get blown out a bit with higher volume or bass turned up)Install took me 10-15 minutes to run the wires and hide them in a 17 nissan rouge with plenty of extra wire.Loop recording of infinity, 1, 3, and 5 mins. IR on, off or auto, audio on or off, g sensor high, medium, low, off, parking mode is here also (with $15 hardwire kit sold separately). GPS mount to track location and speed is available also for this camera setup (sold separately)Time, date, mph, license plate, gps and vantrue logo stamps are available to turn on and off in video recordings. The viewfinder shows you a triple view(1 large view with 2 small pip views) of all 3 cameras when the screen is on and you can switch which camera is in the large view.Overall I am highly pleased and impressed again with Vantrues products. I've been running the N2 Pro for over 2 yrs for personal use and driving for Lyft. Now I have even more coverage in the rear, higher resolution out front and over a day or twos recording space with the 256GB microsd card I ordered from Vantrue.Only thing missing is wifi/bluetooth and 60fps+ on all 3 cameras which 1. this is the first 3 channel all in one I've even heard of and would require 3 individual cameras to accomplish 60fpsx3cameras. 2. I'm ok with no wifi/bluetooth as it's faster to transfer data over USB 3 . Also this uses usb c connections, WIN!I really love this company and their products and pricing. Customer service is also A++Take a look at the pictures and videos I've posted also.

Upon order, i received my order earlier than I expected and notified. So hats off for Quickest Delivery even in such Panedemic era. Packaging was excellent with all the equipment individually taken care off. Only thing I wished could be better is bit more longer arm for front camera so we have more room to adjust considering confined space where the rear view mirror blocking inside view little bit. I use this camera primary for rideshare so now I have peace of mind that I am being covered not only from outside but inside as well.
Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.
Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.
Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.
Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.
Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.
Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
