I was sent a used item and no effort put in to even mask it. Cables were untied and the ties thrown into to box. Box was unsealed. Box looks like it was rolled or used as a football. All the corners completely dented in. I havent even opened the other items in the box yet.UPDATE - Vantrue came through and shipped me a replacement item. The new one works much better and no issues. Changed 3star to a 5star. Great customer service.

Already in installation the rear camera doesn't work at all. I loosened up the wires and I thought maybe the wires too tight but its not the case. Its plugged in it just sucks. If I am spending this kind of money I except it to work fully. I will try and troubleshoot more but so far its a dud.

I had to pay $150 to get it installed and rear view camera didn't work. Now I'm stuck with it. Also had an incident where if the back up camera worked I would have caught two thieves that broke into a family memebers car next too mine.

This is a great dash cam system to be sure. Every feature is as advertised with one exception. I strongly recommend against the hardwire option. What people say is true…it will drain your battery. I ran the lighter power adapter through the trim and I have a great installation look that powers on and off with the ignition. Also, don’t forget to pop the memory card about once a month and reformat.

We needed a longer cord to install the rear camera in our RV. Contacted Van True and they ordered it for us and no charge. When we received the longer cord it would not connect with the rear camera. I contacted Echo at VanTrue and he ordered another cord again no charge.Received it 2 days ago and hooked it up with no problems.Fantastic Customer Support and the quality of the camera pix is very clear.

The camera and mount are ridiculously bulky, big and heavy. 30fps??? Are we in 1986 recording to VHS??? This items quality is on a whole new level of bad. Camera lense came out in my hand when unboxing. I got this as a gift so I came on here to find out any other issues people are having with this pos. You can barely even understand the wording in the listing....come on Amazon if you're going to allow Chinese junk at least make sure they know the English language enough to correctly describe their garbage. Other problem here is that it's a SUCTION CUP MOUNT.....so when you travel and stay in a hotel....unless you want it in the hands of a crackhead you have to take it out of the car and then put it back in ...re aim it etc etc ...stupid idea. Buy a Garmin GPS with a driver cam in it.....better picture quality, multiuse item, lighter, and proven product. From a professional truck driver with 31 years on the road when it counts...dont depend on this garbage. Buy quality equipment.

Returning this camera after 2 weeks, the external rear camera failed, causing the main camera to heat up and power cycle on and off repeatedly until I unplugged the power. I pulled into a gas station, got my meter out, checked power, had a constant 13v at the unused power point under the dash, which I had the official Vantrue power supply wired into (master auto tech by trade for a decade), good chassis ground inside the truck at the main dash support. I loved the video quality, both the front and compartment cams worked great, the compartment cam is adjustable, the suction cup held up well, but I was way less than impressed that the GPS is a separate unit for purchase, I had difficulty removing the camera from the GPS suction cup base, there is no built-in wi-fi, I couldn't get my new HP laptop to play the Vantrue MP4 video files (it played other cheap brand $50 dash camera vids just fine), only audio. I could only view videos if I moved the videos from the Vanture sd card to the computer, THEN copied to my Samsung Note 9. That was a deal breaker for me, I'd like to be able to pull video on demand at an incident. I ended up buying a Rexing V5, I'll see how that holds up. I originally had a Apeman C770 dual cam with built in wifi, gps, and touch screen, at half the price it held up better for 2 years than the Vantrue did in 2 weeks. Buy at your own $300+ risk for all the Vantrue branded add-ons (power supply, 256gb card, GPS suction cup antenna with power point) and enjoy having to pull videos with your computer.

Contacted Customer Support a Number of Times (Fast Response). I Asked Why Does it Only Display 720P on my 4K TV ? The Answer... HDMI Display only supports 720P Actually. The Resolution of the Cam Recorded file is 4K, but the Display is Different from the Recorded Video File. The Dashcam does not support 4K output Display? Me: That is the most Ridiculous Thing I Ever Heard, How would That Help me out in Court. If I Rip/Burn a DVD in only 720P ? It Should be Recording in the Resolution I set it for which is 3840x2160. Really love this camera. Video quality is crisp and smooth. I recommended this camera to a bunch of people already and they also loved it.I attached a video example under this review, but the quality may not be as good because Amazon compressed the video due to the file being too big. The video quality is impressively good, I am able to get good video from all 3 camera lens in day or night. A clean windshield and rear window also make huge difference. Night vision is so clear both inside and outside of the car. With new CMOS sensor and F1.4 aprture in the front, night time video is super clean. and 4 IR LED lights for interior camera help to see everything inside the car in night time as well.

Beyond the fact that the N4 is the best in quality and production, The rear camera connection issue has been an issue for some; on the Internet and me.If you have a rear camera connection problem, when you try to connect the cable to the camera cord, push a little harder than usual and then, while pushing both cords, slightly twist the camera cord.You will feel and hear a slight ‘click-like’ sound; works 100%

I bought this dashcam a few months ago. I was very excited to finally get this for my car. However, the rear camera was not working. I had to tried to talk to Amazon Customer Service but they told me to contact Vantrue instead. I emailed Vantrue Customer Service and I had explained that the screen for the rear camera does not show up on the LED screen. I even sent them pictures that everything was connected correctly. They said they were going to send a replacement for the rear camera and so they did. That replacement still did not work. I even exchanged the cables and it still did not work. Vantrue then said they would replace the whole camera for me. I had to send the camera that I had back first and show them the tracking number to show that I did. They then sent a whole new camera set two days later and everything worked after that! The front, cabin, and rear cameras are working! Vantrue Customer Service was very helpful despite me replying a little late. I was still grateful for their help. The quality is very good on the camera so I'll rate that a 5. The quality in the night is all right but not too bad so I rate that a 4. Overall, great camera and Vantrue Customer Service helped me!(I got the new camera set over a month and a half ago and I'm just now leaving a review because they deserve a good review.)

Everything was great for two months and then one morning, the camera fell off the dashboard window. I tried licking it and everything, but it just won't stick to the window anymore.UPDATE to FIVE STARS!! The seller replaced the GPS connector, no questions asked. I had problems with the rear camera not working right away. I contacted support and they had me do some trouble shooting. Since that didn't fix the problem, they sent a new rear camera and cable. It took a couple of weeks from China, but now everything is fine. Although it can be frustrating when new things don't work, this company is quick to get it fixed and keep their customers happy. And I am!

I was really looking forward to using this dash cam as it contains all the features I was looking for. I even decided to through the effort of hardwiring the camera to record 24/7. But, the biggest disappointment comes from the suction cup mount. I bought this in February and I’ve only been able to go a full day with use before the camera simply falls from the mounting location. The suction cup on average holds for 20 minutes before failing in the heat. I tried contacting them directly for a resolution but never heard back. I’m sure this camera is great from seeing the other reviews but I have yet to confirm myself.

I've had 5 dashcams. This is my second Vantrue and I'd buy more. The camera is easy to use and never misses a recording. The new N4 makes up for the missing functions of the previous one, but even the older one was bulletproof.This new one has much better low light and night vision also.

I was excited to receive, open and activate it in my car. Unfortunately, I have to wait to use this because per the instructions, you are not supposed to use a SanDisk memory card with this. Why? Got into a wreck the camera only got when we left our house and stopped working after 44seconds. Checked the other saved drives, and they all cut off after a minute. The picture quality is good, though. Wish it got our fender bender.

The camera is wonderful and one of its kind. I am an ex user of N2 Pro (front+cabin) and I really loved the camera quality on that. Their customer support is pretty responsive on email as well.N4 is equally a great quality 3 channel (front+cabin+rear) dash cam. I have one from about an year now. The 3rd camera cable is very long and would easily run till the end of a big SUVs rear windshield. It has a collision lock as well, which ensures you dont loose the footages required to prove your innocence.

I have used this dash cam now for 2 weeks, daily, and nightly while driving Uber. The quality is excellent. Driving in the rain on the highway is excellent also. Night vision is the best that I have ever seen. I purchased 2 other brands only to be disappointed with the quality of night time driving. This cam is absolutely the best for all conditions.

Overall amazing! The clarity, the features, everything...only downside is you need to upload the recordings off the SD card in order to view them, there is no syncing from the phone to do a real time look back. Other than that, it's a great dash cam.

Vantrue N4 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam, 4K+1080P Front and Rear, 4K+1080P Front and Inside, 1440P+1080P+1080P Three Way Triple Car Camera, IR Night Vision, 24 Hour Parking Mode, Capacitor, Support 256GB Max, has a great picture. But I was ready to send it back because the wires can't be hid. The rear camera wire plugs into the side of the camera. The charger is plugged into the top of the suction cup mount, so the camera has to be lowered so the straight plug clears the headliner. But I worked around that, then two days later, in 77* weather, I find the camera hanging by the wires. So I clean off both the suction cup and glass and place the camera. Need to use more, so it could be more or less stars.

3 cameras, great for uber taxi ect, records inside of the car.. I did not use it for that. The display always shows pip sometimes you don't want to see images as its distracting. It is a good Chinese product software simple to use. SUCTION cup is JUNK. I have the mount where it has the GPS function it work but constantly looses its grip on the windshield in hot weather it does not hold long. The wire position on the power mounts are design poorly instead of being together or on the same side One wire is at the top and one at the bottom does not make an installation look neat. For the price its over priced should not be more than 150.00 won't buy again

This is an a amazing upgrade from the n2. Adding the rear camera is a game changer. The rear camera also is crystal clear even through the tint. Also the bigger lcd screen is nice as well. Vantrue hit it out of the park with this one.

Love the camera and easy to hard wire to the truck….. but when in parking mode I came back to the car in a few hours and the camera itself was hot. Didn’t want to damage the camera so I unplug now if I’m not going to be back in the truck for more than a hour. Wish the camera would not get hot. I turned the settings on medium sensitivity and still didn’t fix the issue.

Front Camera is working but records only 3 seconds even though it's set to record for 3 minutes. Rear view Camera works for 3 minutes, becomes still and no video recording.Update: The customer service contacted us in 1round 12 hours. We are working with their customer service on the issues. It may be the loose connectivity to the rear camera. However, the cabin camera is still showing everything in pink and recording in pink.

Unfortunately this may take some work on your end to achieve. If you have a car/truck with stiff suspension or a bass driven stereo you will need to turn off the g-sensor detection. I also only run the video for back and front not inside. I had a problem with the MicroSD giving me error messages. It would say that there was a problem with the SD card and that would require reformatting the card. Vantrue's customer service is actually pretty stellar. My original review was based on problems with recording video to the SD and some other small issues/complaints. They asked me to try out their MicroSD card and see if it resolved the problems. I can't conclude if the new SD actually fixed my issues or not. The reason I say that is I turned off the G sensor completely as to prevent locked/protected videos. Thus far the combination of the 2 have been trouble free. I have also ordered a phone connector to view the SD card if and when needed. The lack of a wifi app for updating etc. is really a bummer. They do claim they're working on a wifi version. I also think it could update from a better more stable mount. There's really nothing wrong with the mount as it functions as needed. However, it does vibrate quite a bit in vehicles with stiffer suspension. At the end of the day after working out all of the kinks so that it functions as it should for my particular application it turns out this is a pretty great dash cam. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if needed. The Rexing does edge this out with the app and wifi functionality but the Vantrue is a great 2nd place winner in my books.

I’ve only had this camera for a little over two months now. The first time I reinserted the sd card into the camera after checking my files asked to reformat the sd card and lost everything. Didn’t realize it until I went to check my files again. Note the camera won’t read the sd card at all and the camera itself will get stuck on the “goodbye” screen until the camera is unplugged. Tried to reset it to factory settings and nothing happens. I’m also using the sd card they provide and the gps mount that for whatever reason is sold separately. Save yourself $400 and get something else. Still waiting on customer service to see if they’ll honor the warranty or give me a refund

As a truck driver, you need a dashcam, it's pretty much mandatory in this day of recklessness among those who do not share the road with trucks in the way they are supposed to. If I were interacting with a truck driver who does NOT have a dashcam, I would ask the question of WHY he does not have one installed, and URGE him to get one (like the Vantrue N4 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam). I would say that it's a matter of when Law Enforcement takes their word over yours' because you do not have a dashcam (like the product here). It's extremely well worth every penny, and could very well pay itself off in the time it takes to be involved in an incident. You could find yourself walking out of court with a happy face, but with a massive caveat.I recently replaced a different brand with this product, and it takes great video. With that said, I would love it even more if this dashcam had its own WiFi, and you could access video online like the one I had prior to this one. The suction cup is good, and so far it sticks good to the windshield, but the key to keeping it safe without it falling off is to make sure the window and suction cup is incredibly clean, and completely free of any dust. Use an air seat blow gun kit to blow the dust from the suction cup. If you don't have one, figure out a way so you don't have to worry about it not staying mounted. Apply clean water to the windshield AND the suction cup, and then apply the cup right away and lock it in, and it should stay.Vantrue WILL respond to your email if you have support questions, and they WILL answer your questions within maybe a day or two.One thing I really like about this dashcam is that you could access and turn on audio by hitting one of the buttons on top. This comes in handy in the event that you end up at a place with bad personnel who likes to say things that are incriminating then lying about it, or even falsely alleging something bad about you.As with any situation, a dashcam can be your best friend, or it could persuade a jury to say "guilty". REMEMBER, You are NOT immune from the rules just because you have a dashcam. Anything you say and do CAN AND WILL be used in a court of law. The dashcam CAN AND WILL rat you out, or it CAN AND WILL save your backside buzzer, if you use your head.

This is a quality product. I installed it in a 2021 Jeep Wrangler and had plenty of wiring for the rear camera and hard wiring to the accessory switch harness. The windshield (Front& cabin) camera is pretty bulky and larger than some of the others out there but the clarity is amazing. The unit can be tedious to use with only a few buttons on top to scroll and make menu selections, so viewing footage from the unit is not very practical, but the side access SD card is easy to get to when needed. I use a 256g card and get about 2 full days of continuous recording (no loop) before having to format. At the time of purchase it was one of the only 3 channel (Front, cabin & rear camera) dash cams available. I do wish it had Bluetooth or WIFI capability so it would be easier to control and retrieve footage. So far no issues and I'm comfortable it is worth the $$$.

I purchased this camera after reading that it would have an application for my iPhone. After receiving the item and installing it I ended up contacting the company because I couldn’t pair the device with the app that was supposedly supposed to go with it. I received four emails from different associates responding to my questions with the exact same answer being completely useless. However, the last associate I spoke with was not there outsourced division and the associate informed me that they did not complete the app for this particular camera. That they were however creating another product that would have an app to work with your iPhone or android device. So basically it’s false advertising because they do not have an app for the camera.

Love the camera great picture its performing well at this time. Would have given 5 stars but that green or red blinking light that tell people behind you that your vehicle is recording does wonders. This camera is just in stealth mode blinks only in cab not outside to warn people to behave when riding your ass. I feel like that would sell even more of your product. Also the OBD connector would of been a great addition to this set up to help ease the other offsets. The wire that goes to the back camera was long enough if snaked wright, one wrong move and your way to short. I bought the adapter just in case but was not needed. Seen guy come out short on a Prius way to funny. Mine 2014 Ram 1500 quad cab 5.7 no issues and some wire to spare. Other then that great camera.

Vantrue customer service is always extremely helpful and quick to respond to all my questions.I bought this Vantrue N4 3 canals 4K Dash Cam in March 2021 I used it for several months but the sd card was stucked because I did not inserted correctly. I wrote an email to the Vantrue customer service and they replace the camera to me and even sent me a sd card.Overall I would recommend this product to everyone because you never know when some driver is going to come out of nowhere and hit you and either drive away or claim it was your fault. I contacted customer service and they want me to update firmware to make it work.Why do I have to jump through hoops to make something work. I shouldn't have to make their product work, that's their QA job, making sure it works before shipping it out.

After having the dash cam for over a year, unfortunately I was involved in an accident, but fortunately I had the n4 and was able to prove without any doubt that the other party was 100% at fault, I was at a red light and got rear ended. Having both the front camera to show the red light and the rear camera to show the person being distracted and rear ending me. The camera has silently done its job for over a year, the quality of the image is very good, I could easily make out license plates and it does well in all light conditions. The camera even handles heat better than others I have had in the past, handled 110 degree desert heat and still kept going.I was sad though when I found that the rear camera cable had been damaged in the accident and was no longer working. I reached out to Vantrue customer support asking how I could order a replacement cable, they responded quickly and offered to just ship me a new cable. I find this level of customer service lacking from a lot of companies now and was very happy to have this unexpected level of service.

I've had the Vantrue N2Pro for 30 months now. The technical support is quick to respond. The company does want to maintain its products. The camera is relatively easy to learn to use. The image and video quality are awesome.The camera's battery has never worked, if you leave the constantly plugged into the car's power source you will drain the battery in a few days. There doesn't seem to be a way to replace the battery either, making this a $200 throw-away device. It will each through microSD cards fast, but microSD cards are not designed for 24x7x365 operations. There is no WiFi or Bluetooth, not sure why today these things are teeny tiny, I would think they could figure out how to get them in somewhere, they just made GPS smaller, keep the extra space, and put WifI or Bluetooth there.The camera has helped me as a rideshare driver get out of tickets, aid in unruly passenger disputes, and aid in accident scenes and drunk drivers incidents that I have witnessed. To say it has been a lifesaver would be an understatement. It's also been really fun to create long road trip movies that the family and I have taken.I am thinking about purchasing the Vantrue N4 3 Channel 4K Dash Cam, really would be nice to capture those tailgaters and kind of neat to add to the family road trip videos. At the same time, this feels like I am not really getting much more. I have to purchase a new OBD connector $21, a new GPS mount $23, a new microSD $53, and the camera $263. Not to forget, the labor or getting the rear camera mounted, $150 for my time. $510 for a 2.5 years throw-away device. The previous camera despite not working correctly did do a great job. What to do....

Man..... I can't be wasting time every day always trying to find parking with shade. This is almost $300 and it can't last in temperatures above 90 degrees...What I thought of doing at first was unplugging the dashcam and putting it lower in the cabin of my car every time I parked in a sunny area. However, I then remembered how much I paid for this dashcam and then words popped in my head.... - "how unpractical, ridiculous, & unacceptable."

I bought this camera to replace an older, cheaper single dash camera. I also purchased the separate GPS receiver. The first thing I notice is how flimsy the plastic felt, next I went to mounting. Most dash cameras seem to come with a good 3M sticky tape instead of relying on the suction mount which is guaranteed to fail. This one does not, and the suction mount is completely useless but you have to use it. I will have to spend more money just to get basic use out of this camera. For the price I expected a lot better.

The product sent to you is broken and does not connect. When you ask for help they tel you to buy more parts to replace what they sent broken! Don’t get this it’s a waste of money and doesn’t work! The cameras do not al connect to the main piece!

Bought two of these for the box trucks I send out on the road everyday. The quality is excellent and it has more features than comparable cameras for more money. Would definitely recommend.

About this cam...the quality night vision is not that good but as the manufacturer says. Day video quality poor as hell Customers service 1 star no more than that. There is a guy there in customer service name Shalini.. He or she must go back to school to learn good manner. They sold me a defective N4dash cam, and they didn't want to replace it because according to them it was expired the time to replace it. I bought this cam and it took me a while to install it because I didn't have time for it, then I tried to make work correctly but I couldn't then I contact them or this guy called Shalini...

The 3 way dash cam is amazing. The picture quality the audio. everything is ok. I do wish it has app because if the dash cam is ever stolen. Least you have the important footage on the app. but unfortunately it stopped working after 5 months. Most likely it’s the power cord maybe it has shortage hopefully I can find something similar to replace it. But other than that it’s worth to buy.Update: contacted the company and gave me new part to get it fixed.

This camera is great for if you want to capture both the front and rear while also having a camera for the interior which gets some of the sides. It's only okay at capturing anything that happens on the sides of the car, but still better than having to buy a second Vantrue N4 camera just to capture both sides of the car fully. I highly recommend going this option since it's better to capture as many sides of the car as possible. It also has a few additional accessories that make it have features that other cameras don't.

Continuous Recording mode only records part of the time. Screenshot shows period of time when the car was driving at highway speed, and continuous recording should have been engaged, however you can see the camera records in 3-minute chunks, but the chunks are 10min apart in time. If you want to use this camera, you should make sure to time any accidents/events to coincide with periods when the camera happens to be recording.UPDATE:firmware update appears to have resolved the continuous recording issue. Beware of support being quick to blame the SDCard despite evidence pointing to firmware issue. Updating to 3-stars for now. Will see how the camera performs over next few months and may update again.

The Vantrue N4 is a 3 camera package. Installs easily and the manual steps you through setting up all your preferences. Had one issue with the motion sensor and with help from (Roxanne) Customer Service Representative the problem was resolved. I bought this camera based on price, options and prior reviews. Would I buy this camera again? Yes!

I bought this dash cam to be able to record the people around me when traveling with an RV. The camera takes great videos. It however needs to have better license plate recording capabilities. That is the only part i do not like. The camera records in parking mode and allowed me to have a hit and run person caught to pay for damage when parked in a parking lot.

A couple months ago, I received the dash cam and it worked perfectly as advertised. I utilized the parking mode with the hardwire kit, loved the 3 channel dash cam view and it's features. As a couple weeks went by, the dash cam started to become a problem as it constantly turned off without any reason. After trying several different ways of troubleshooting, I contacted customer support. The Vantrue customer support immediately responded and figured out the problem after sending them a detailed description and a couple videos. It turned out, I ended up getting a dash cam with a defective g-sensor. They willingly sent a replacement!Despite, the dash cam becoming defective after a few weeks, I was sent another one right away! It was pretty rare to have this problem as I own 3 of these cameras for 3 cars and only one of them went bad and was replaced immediately. I haven't ran into any problems so far including the replacement! This dash cam is something you should not wait on. Their customer support is awesome!

Pros:3 cameras covers lots of anglesDecent video quality in generalThe audio track is put in all 3 video streamsLots of options for parking modeCons:Rear camera is pretty low quality, can barely read license plate number until the car is like within 6-10 ft while the interior camera is pretty clear. I'd rather they spend more money on the rear camera than the interior as I think seeing the license plate number is more important than whatever's going on in the passenger cabin. Lots of glare at night as well. Plates still readable if the car is close enough though.Wish there was a UV/polarizing filter for this, if you have stuff on your dash you'll see the reflections.And I'd honestly prefer an adhesive mount than a suction mount. All the suction mounts I've had in the past would start permanently warping from heat/uv/long term use and after a while becomes useless. In fact, after installing this camera, I came out to my car this morning and the suction cup failed and left the camera hanging. No biggie, i just used double sided cement tape to permanently mount it to the windscreen.

the item is fine but its a shame there`s no touch screen and that data can be stored to the cloud - what if someone steals the car???
