This is the first dash cam product that I have owned and I will never go back to be unprotected. This dash cam offers an incredible amount of coverage. It was easy to install and to format an sd card within the dash cam itself. This dash cam is the best on the market when it comes to the most coverage you could ask for. I highly recommend this dash cam!
This Camera is a great, high quality product. If you are someone that drives for Lyft/Uber, uses your vehicle for a living, has dealt with auto incidents with insurance companies/police, or just want some personal security, this is a great investment. It is easy to install and had plenty of cord length to tuck and hide from view. You can also hard wire the camera directly to the fuse box with a kit that I highly recommend. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G9WTWB9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)The camera features dual cameras that record in front of your vehicle as well as the inside cab. The camera also has a parking feature that can detect and begin recording/snap shooting if your vehicle gets hit or detects movement in the camera's vision. There is an option to record audio that works well even for external noises. For those that drive people (like Lyft or Uber) these features are great for extra assurance. In my experience, have noticed that even just having the camera makes most other passengers feel safer in the vehicle and give yourself evidence to back any of your claims about unruly passengers. The instructions will clearly state that only certain SD cards will work with the formatting of the camera (not included). Make sure to get a large capacity memory card and triple check to make sure that the memory card will work in the camera. Do not let this hidden cost surprise you. Also, remember to format the memory card every so often so the memory card doesn't run out of room (download any footage that you want before formatting). I have 256GB Samsung EVO Plus memory card in my camera and have not had any issues with reformatting it every 2 weeks. One drawback that some people may not like, is that the camera is not Bluetooth or WiFi compatible. You will need to plug the camera (or memory card) into a computer to extract any footage that you may want. I did not find this to be a problem myself but some may not like this. One thing about the internal camera that I did notice is that the night vision sometimes does not fully visualize the back seat of my vehicle (I have a car) but this may be due to the fact that I have to slightly offset my camera to the passenger side of the rear view mirror per car design. that being said, it still does register and record well at night for being a small camera.Overall, I really like this product and highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for or has thought about getting a dash cam.
I've owned this dash cam for about 16 months, and I love it! The night vision is amazing, it will show everyone perfectly even if there is 0 light, the video clarity if fantastic, and the menu options are dummy-proof. Awesome Dashcam!
The N2 pro is more than I expected in terms of a dash cam! The dual camera with infrared was the big seller to me, especially if you are an under or lyft driver. The dash camera was easy to use and very easy to install. Everyone should get a dash cam in order to protect you and your car!
After a year’s use of my N2 Pro, Dash Cam, I was in need of a suction cup mount. The original melted in this Florida heat. I received an immediate reply from the Vantrue Support team, and received a replacement in three weeks. Excellent service
Just installed this a couple days ago and love it so far. It installed in minutes, even with the optional hard wire kit. I have only pulled a few sample videos to check for camera placement and angles, but I do not have the "blue tint" problem.Love the functionality of it, I just wish it had 2 extra options (and IMO for the price it should have at least one of them). It needs blu tooth capability, for quickly transferring videos to smart phones... it should already have this.... and it needs the option for off unit storage. It would be nice to be able to have video storage hidden under the dash or out of site, cause if someone smashes my glass and takes my dashcam and other things, then they just took my video evidence too....Overall still a great dash cam would highly recommend it.
I bought this camera as a protection against accidents and since it has internal recording to protect me and my passengers as well.I can't say enough good about it. The clarity is superb and the audio is very clear from the recordings. I always record in 1080 and with a 64GB SD card I get about 12-13 hours of video before it starts to overwrite. If you do rideshare of any kind, you cannot go wrong with this camera. The thing that really impressed me the most if how good the night vision is inside and outside the car. It's almost like having a FLIR camera on the inside it is so good.It is very small compared to some other models I had researched. It is easy to use and due to size, most people don't even notice it on the windshield just below the mirror. I purchased a mirror mount for it and ended up not using it for a couple of reasons. The mirror mount has a rough tooth grip and I didn't want it to damage my mirror mount surface AND the mirror mount isn't designed in a way I can use it.I would recommend you get the hardwire kit for it as well if you plan to leave it in the same vehicle as I do. It's a much cleaner finish and won't take up one of your charging ports. Even without the hardware kit, this is still a great product.
I notice during video replay, I hear "beeps" and "blurps" in the audio , as if some type of "electrical feedback".....my unit is hard wired......not an over whelming sound, just something to be aware of as a camera of this caliber/price range probably should not do this.
Best dash cam on the market, even if not an Uber/Lyft driver. Def recommend A+ So much functionality. Now, if they add WiFi with an app, it would rule the market.
I'm impressed by the amount of detail of the 2K footage and the fact that it can do video front and back without any additional setup. The settings menu is easy to navigate around and doesn't require much maintenance after the initial setup.
Quality video but in less than 6 mo it was only recording when not in motion and now it keeps saying SD Card error and ask to format and then successfully formats just to say SD Card error. Not usable. Will have to call MFG. Ughhh
Quality of forward and inside of car cam is high, audio quality is good for front seat and ok for back. Night time black and white video is great for front and ok at best for rear. If you think a passenger is getting on the edge just press the "P" which saves past 30 seconds so it is not rewritten later and if time, turn on any inside lite if you are not happy with night time video quality. Any light at night will dramatically improve the night vision cam. This product is a must have for any driver of people that you do not know.BTW mine is from 2017 and can use a 128 gig sim card. Manual states that it can only use 32 gig. I used 32, then 64 and now 128 gig successfully. Just remember to format the card before use and about once a month to be confident that its work when you need it. The sim card is not a install it and forget it type of item.
I've had this camera for a little over a year now, and am happy with the purchase. I bought this camera at the recommendation of the wirecutter, and for a dual-camera solution, it has worked great. I added in the adhesive GPS mount as I don't like suction cups for long-term use, but the quick attachment mount means I can take it with me when I borrow a different car. I did have an issue recently with the battery not working anymore. But I emailed the company and they took care of it quickly, asking for a video demonstrating the issue and once reviewing it, they had me send it back to them and sent me a brand new replacement camera. Overall, a pretty hassle-free process and a product I am happy to recommend.
First I want to list the positives, this camera is very quality. I have nothing negative about the video quality, night video quality, functionality. The menu system is easy, however there are 2 glaring problems with this camera:The menu can't be accessed while it's recording that I've been able to find at least. I have to hold down the menu button when powering back on.This is the biggest issue, and it's VERY annoying as I haven't had time to hardwire the camera, the date resets the moment it loses power supply....This day and age the camera should have long enough capacitor life or internal battery life/cmos settings to maintain the set date... with how often we have to drive this is a VERY annoying oversight! If you can afford the time to quickly hardwire this camera, I HIGHLY recommend it, but because of those glaring oversights I can't give this 5 stars, which is a shame cause this is a well built product, first camera I've had that actually stays suctioned to the window!
After reading many reviews and viewing several YouTube videos on the N2 Pro, I finally decided to buy this model. It's low profile provides an unobstructed view and fits perfectly under the rearview mirror using the optional windshield adhesive mount. I also opted for the hardwire kit for a cleaner, professional looking installation. Install took under an hour and with the included add-a-fuse cable, it was super easy to tap into the fuse box. With lots of features and custom options, this dash camera is a great product, I highly recommend.
I’ve had this for a couple of months. It’s the best dash cam I’ve ever owned. It’s easy to navigate the menus, and the interior recording is excellent, the major reason to purchase this item is for that feature.
Clear video and sound works great. I Have had it for 7 months and then the internal battery failed to hold a charge. Emailed Helen @ Vantrue Customer Service Team and she quickly responded and with in 2 days sent me a new replacement camera. Now that is great customer service..AAAAA+++++ in my book.
This is a great camera. Love the picture quality. I can usually see next lane license plate. Night vision is good. Easy operation. Easy to transfer files since there is two miniusb connection. Just bring your laptop to the car and transfer with the supplied cable. Only thing I missed is the small amount of battery that can be used for monitoring when the car is off as in when vehicle feels a shock or bump. Other than that it's all good. I gotta do a hardwire to fuse now. Lcd should be a little bigger.
Have for a year now and has not failed me yetwifes d cam from others has failed us when we needed it the most we look like idiot's to the police no video right behind the stranger dander taking pics video at an elementary school they could be a stalker or threat to the school but we have no video to show the police. This company backs their product and support their customers 100% just message them on fb Messenger and see how fast they respond they provide awesome support highly recommend.
Excellent video quality with outside camera, nice night view inside. Only one concern, the camera only records black and white with the camera inside the car during the day. That is normal? or I must make a special configuration? Thanks.
Im very pleased with this dash cam!! There's a lot of options. The video and audio is very very clear . And at night!!!This is the dash cam to get!! Worth the money!!
I was recently in an accident and the camera flew off in the accident. The files recorded before the accident are corrupted and cannot be recovered. This dashcam is completely useless.
It’s really user friendly to install, and very easy to adjust the settings, especially if you want audio recording or not, you can play the videos in the camera and so far the video and sound quality is great, I’ll add more when I take it on the road. I used the recommended Evo card
I took off a star because the camera occasionaly falls off the windshield, and sometimes license plates are hard to read when I view video. However, it does provide decent enough coverage for most situations both outside and in the car. Also, make sure your computer can read mp4 files. I am using an older laptop running windows 7 that couldn't read them, but was able to download a program that lets the computer read them.P. S. The camera is also great for monitoring what car shop employees are doing when inside your car... Such as stealing your earbuds from the center console.
This is the only one you'll need . I looked for a long time for this kind of dash cam . I put it on next to the highestsetting at 20 min sets not record over but store it well record a whole week of driving 2.5 hours a day. but you have to set it for just looking forward . When you try to get the SM card to format it well say try another but don't just keep trying it well work . If you don't see the red light blinking and a picture than the card is full or not working . I'm going to buy another to look out the rear window .
I love this dash camera. Feels high quality, the camera interface is easy to set up and use, and the picture quality and night vision is great. I bought a Samsung Evo plus 256gb SD card to use in this camera which is one of the 2 SD card types the manual recommended. My only complaint is the suction cup on the mount. I have tried everything to get it to stick to my windshield. I've cleaned all surfaces with alcohol and got both the car and the mount at a mid 70 degree farenheight temperature to install it. Yet I can't get this mount to stay attached. It stays on for 5 minutes at most with the camera attached. I have resorted to using some heavy duty velcro I had on hand which did the trick. Just wished the mount worked right off the bat on its own. 4 star rating due to mount issues.
I read reviews about several Dash Cams but this one from Vantrue the N2 Pro stood out. So I bought one. I'm not a taxi driver but I wanted the ability record the rear view as well as the front. With the tail gating going on I felt it could be good protection if I ever needed it. The N2 Pro is simple to set up and easy to mount. The picture quality is impressive both front and rear. After using it a few times I was so impressed I bought another one for our pickup as well. I was also impressed with the customer service. If you have questions you get and answer in 24 hours. Don't make the mistake of getting a dash cam where the menus are hard t follow. Now I'm thinking of one for the teenage granddaughter. I'll never be without one ever again. It's a nice piece of mind to know you have video evidence in hand if you should need it.
Mine stopped working a few months ago. No battery, didn't remember videos because it needs the battery to close files, otherwise the videos do not save. They did replace it. Now that one did the same thing. I didn't even bother calling. I replaced the battery myself. Not really an easy task as they placed a resistor very, verrrry close to the positive connection. It has Parking mode but the manual says not to leave it in direct sunlight when not in use. If you leave it on the windshield all the time you will ruin the battery. I would suggest they switch to capacitors if the can't fix this issue.
I've been looking into buying one of these for quite some time now and to find one with all the right features was a struggle. This dash cam seems to do everything that it says it does. he front camera aims out the windshield to capture in front of your vehicle and the wide angle, rear camera captures a video of inside the cabin. Both cameras produce 1080p setting with the front camera being able to record up to 1440P so I've been pretty pleased with this product. The video quality of great and the in-car audio is fantastic.
High quality videos, bought with the install kit, GPS mount, and 256gb storage. Had it professionally installed, but could be a DIY project if no side curtain airbags. Would recommend a high capacity external hard drive (3-4tb) If archiving multiple days of video.
I have been putting off this review for a while as I have been trying to stress test the device before writing a review.Let me start off by saying I do recommend this dashcam for anyone that wants a quality camera despite it lacking the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive cameras have.Pros:Black (Blends in the scenery and isn't easily noticeable.)Play Back ScreenRemovable Storage (Purchased separately, required for operation.)Front and Back CameraNight VisionLoop RecordingEvent Recording (Protected from overwriting)Cons:Black (If driving during the day this device gets very warm and is hot to the touch.)Bad User Interface (Hard to learn right out of the box.)SD Card Issues (If the SD card isn't recording it doesn't tell you.)My main source of income is driving and so being protected while driving is of utmost importance to me. During my full-time job I transport medical supplies and so what happens outside of the car is important for that job and the ability to switch between front and back facing recording is extremely useful. My secondary source of income is driving for Uber and Lyft on weekends for fun and to meet new people. In a recent event, this camera delivered the service I bought it for with ease. I had passengers that were belligerent and yelling swear and racial slurs (for the whole 15-20 minute trip) in response to a situation that they had at the bar that I picked them up from. Turns out they had gotten into a fight at the bar and had laid their hands on people there. They said in detail what they did to the people they beat up. (i.e. punching them until they were bleeding, kicking them repeatedly while they were down, etc.) Next, they went on to say to each other that they were going to go back to the bar once they got home and drive (drunk) back to the bar to beat him up again. Meanwhile, my camera was recording everything the whole time. Upon dropping them off I called 911 and reported the scenario and everything that I heard. When the officers arrived I told them the story again and then provided them with my Vantrue Dash Cam and allowed them to view the video that it had captured during the entire ride. Although I don't know the outcome of this scenario if my purchase stopped a future battery then my money was well spent.Although situations like these are incredibly uncommon I was glad to have this camera working at its absolute best when I needed it.
We have a cab business and I like the dual camera. The night vision isnt good. People look like shadows and blend into each other. When going thru the videos or photos; you cant start at the beginning and you have togo thru each one on order to get to the next photo or video. Cant just choose which one you want. Makes for a long session of going thru photos/videos. However, the audio is great.
Yes the model 3 has an inbuilt dashcam feature. I wanted to install a backup dashcam in case my wife forgets to wipe the model 3 USB flash drive as it gets filled up. The video covers the way it is installed. The cam essentially gives us a front and back view, shows what the driver is doing to prove that the driver isn't asleep at the wheel and covers a good view of the rear in case the model 3 cams miss something. Some may say this is Overkill but it's better to be safe than sorry! Overall I've been very happy with the cams quality and durability!

The main reason i got this camera was for the parking mode feature. I have a lot of people (customers) walking/driving in and out of my work parking lot. A lot of time they would intentionally or unintentionally cause damages to the employees car's. Having the parking mode feature and the high quality video gives me a peace of mind knowing i will catch any harm done to my car.
I travel cross country by car a lot, and I've gone through quite a lot of dashcams. They all work great the first few weeks, but when you park the car under the desert sun in 110f heat or leave them overnight in subzero temperatures, they tend to not work properly or even power on when you start the car. I've probably gone through 15 of them in the last 10 years of traveling from coast to coast in North America. It's been about 5 months and this thing survived days being left in a parked car in Death Valley as well as nights being parked in the frigid weather 12,000ft up. A few times the suction cup mount had fallen down in the extreme heat, but that's a physics problem, not poor product design. As for the quality, it's just fine for both the inside and outside cameras. You can clearly see what's going on, and it's fine enough to make out license plates. The 4K works just fine, but I've opted to use 1080p since that's more than enough resolution for a standard dash cam. Is this camera going to be used for a feature film? No. It's simply something you want to keep record in case of an accident or notable incident. It was easy enough to install and the UI is easy to figure out. I do appreciate the LCD screen a whole lot as it lets me know if the mirror is obstructing the camera too much.Finding a feature-packed dashcam on Amazon is not difficult. The issue with them is the cameras not functioning non-stop, through the environmental extremes from the interior of a vehicle, after months or years of use. This dash cam is the first to pass that test, and it's the first one I've taken the time to review. If you want a dashcam that you can install and not worry about, the Vantrue N2 is your best bet.
Last few days now I've been dealing with the time and date resetting back to 1/1/2018 (default) and attempted some basic troubleshooting e.g. firmware update, check config settings, check power supply etc. come to find out the battery in the camera is dead. A quick search online revealed this to be a pretty common issue with these cameras. Had they gone with a super capacitor instead, this camera would have been a 5 star product. Overall, the picture quality is phenomenal, the f&b cameras work perfectly, the size and shape are leaps and bounds better than most dash cams in this price range but to have to replace a $200 camera every year or rip it apart and unsolder and solder in a new battery is just too much to expect from a customer. I see the latest version of this cam is now built with a super capacitor but now with so many other cameras having come on the market I don't feel compelled to give this company my money again knowing they most likely over looked some other aspect in this new offering that will once again cost me time and money.Update: the repair took about an hour to perform. I was able to source the replacement Li-Po battery here on amazon and even was able to fit an upgraded 300mah (OEM 280mah) and soldered it in. Cost was about $7 plus my time. Not something I wana do yearly but if it buys me one more year then it will be worth the time and cost. Here’s to hoping Vantrue starts the move to super capacitors on all of their new models. In the meantime they’ll remain a 3 star product imo.

Expected this thing to be made out of something better than cheap plastic. Also the suction cup doesn't work so I'm trying to glue it to the window. Video seems fine. Size is good.
This is an amazing dashcam. The picture quality is outstanding both facing into traffic and inside the vehicle. Wide and clear images. As a rideshare driver having both inside (with audio) and outside gives a great feeling of security. I wanted a reliable one with a solid reputation so after a lot of research I bought the Vantrue N2 Pro. I added the hardwire kit and wired it so I can also use the parking monitor feature when I'm not in the car. This has to be one of the best accessories I've purchased and a definite must for folks who make their living on the road.
I have found that the night vision feature is far better than I had expected. The front video is outstanding, and the gravity sensor is especially useful while the car is parked
One thing you need to be aware of is that most of these reviews don't actually review the camera when you actually need it, when there is an accident or an intrusion. The setup is fine and the video quality is okay as well. However, it often gives false positives then completely fails when there is an incident. Normally it should save a video in the incident folder for safe keeping. This folder is full of junk. However, the actual accident we had was not saved. We also had a smash and grab incident, while the car was running, and it didn't capture the incident at all. For some reason it stopped recording right when that happened. It may be because the camera was switching files, but that should only happen after 5 minutes. This was 2 minutes into the video loop. I did a deep scan for any deleted files and found nothing. The man who smashed the window eventually tried to run me over with a car so this was very frustrating as you can imagine. I also have the wiring harness and it drains the battery so I can only use it on a switched fuse. If you want to capture videos of you mindlessly driving, then this is great. If you want to capture accidents or smash and grabs, I would not recommend it.
Tbh I liked this Dashcam at first but then I found it annoying because this thing IS NOT DURABLE! BEWARE! It has good color but then eventually the cam will turn black and white and sometimes it won’t even record clips on the SD Card. Yes I formatted my SD Card to FAT32 but after a while it records sometimes and other times it shows that it’s recording but when you look in the computer for the file on the SD, it ain’t there! This started to happen after a while. My only concern when buying it was the ugly buttons on the bottom and the small screen but other than that I had no issue but now I feel like I just wasted $200 on some product that doesn’t even last. It’s not the SD Card because I bought many different new SD cards and it did the same thing. Well looks like it’s time for me to buy another one from a different company. I trusted the reviews which is why I bought it but then I found out that it’s NOT DURABLE!
I was hesitant to purchase a new dash cam since I already had a cheap one and didn’t want to spend $200. I’m glad I did, though. This dash cam does everything my old one did and also has a camera to face the interior. It’s very small to not obstruct my view as much but big enough that I can use and read the screen comfortably. Definitely worth the investment. On a side note, I thought the infrared would be for both the inside and front camera. Turns out it’s only for the inside one.
LOVE IT! It paid for itself within days of buying it as it capture a lady who cut me off and damaged my car. When the police arrived of course she denied any wrong doing, I was upset and totally forgot I had the camera up, until one of the officers asked, 'do you think you captured it on your cam?' I had and case closed!
This camera is headache for me. memory card is full but I connect to laptop.it doesn’t shows any video. I updated frameware contact to support but issue is same. If you want peace of mind buy camera with cloud storage so you don’t need to worry about storage and video.
The N2 dual dash cam from Vantrue is a great product. I have used it for a couple of weeks now and I am impressed with the ease of use, the quality construction, and interior cam picture quality even in the low or no light at night. The cam is basically ready to record right out of the box (after inserting the memory card) with the default options recording quality videos. You can also easily change settings to turn off the led screen or change the picture resolution, etc. Some older comments have mentioned how the cam is not very steady once it is installed, but I did not find this to be an issue. I have driven over 1,000 miles without any excessive movement. The window attachment is very sturdy and the attachment to the cam allows for easy install and removal. It is also very easy to remove the cam to download the videos instead of removing the memory card. The dual camera was very important to me as a rideshare driver and it produces great images even when I drive in low or no light at night. The interior camera with infrared allows for detailed videos, although you do get a small shadowing effect at the border of the infrared light. The front facing camera picture quality is very detailed during the day and in the sun. The only negative I have with this camera is the night picture quality for the front facing camera but it still provides detailed video based on your headlights.I would strongly reccomend this camera for anyone that is looking for a dash cam for additional security.
This little camera didn't stand a chance in the South Texas sun. In a few months the battery was swollen and split open. The screen was also damaged and now is only beeping...the camera is supposed to work by motion sensors when you are parked but they recommend to remove it if it's too hot outside which kinds of defeats the purpose.I'm sad I paid too much and Vantrue website doesn't respond...who can fix it for me?
So this is my second review, not sure what happened to the first. I previously purchased a different cam from a different manufacturer. The problem i found with some of these camera's is they think they are the only accessory you hook up to your car system. My truck has Sync3 and I have 2 phones, Radar detector and the camera. So with the first camera there were issues connecting through blue-tooth. The tech support contact suggested turning off this and that which just led to more error messages. It shouldn't be this complicated! It's a cam to capture that one moment you wish you had it on film. Plug and play not plug, unplug, plug it back. Enter this cam. The picture quality is very good and does a good job capturing both video and photos. The price is above the cheapo brands and equal to the next step up cams.. Those are pretty crazy priced. The day cam does have a blue tint which can be corrected through the display software. Most importantly it's plug and play.
UPDATE: After 6 months my cam no longer works. I have emailed them several times, in hopes to get this resolved. After 4 emails I received a call at 5:30am from a rep that didn't speak 20 words of English. She even said, English no good. After 10 min of back and forth what? I don't understand. She told me to go buy a new card. I bought the best one for this product, according to them. pic included.I'm tired of trying to get this resolved. I'm frustrated beyond rage.I quit!Product = 0Customer service = negative 10This is what happens when you buy out of country I guess :( Nothing you can do really accept chalk it up as lesson learned.
Love this camera however you have to take the memory card out to review footage and would be perfect IF there was a phone app that you could view footage easily.
Multiple times I've tried to go back and view footage and like clockwork the default time/date consistently gets reset. Today someone hit me and because the time will not stick to the camera, the footage disappeared. I have set the date multiple times but being there is no battery or the battery is complete CRAP, the date will not stick. Find something that can be hard wired or something with a good battery. P.S. the mount it comes with gets very flimsy and the camera just bounces around.
I purchased the Vantrue N2 Pro back in April and it has been the BEST investment for my vehicle, the quality is second to none. I’m able to playback footage directly from the LCD screen and mark important captures so they won’t be overwritten. The customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!!! I reached to Vantrue on Facebook for a concern and they responded punctually and answered my question.
I wanted something that had an excellent picture resolution and this has it, I wish I would have bought a dash cam sooner. This is piece of mind to know that I will have evidence of an accident god forbid it happens again, and I might be able to help someone else if I record theirs
My big problem with this camera is, what's the point in having a "parking mode"? If someone breaks into your car and steals the camera you have no video footage of the thief. All recording are inside the camera. Completely useless feature and shouldn't be used as a selling point. I realised this the hard way.If you could stream to your phone or laptop where it is then recorded on a device the thief can't steal. Could also add a text notification when the motion sensor is activated in "parking" mode.
I am 71 yr old woman and I installed this very easily. Was able to program it easily. I have used it and downloaded the files and looked at the video on my camera. I love it. I am retired and plan to drive for Uber and Lyft and want additional protection. Also good for when police stop people here in New Orleans. I really appreciate how easy it was to install b/c I feel I really needed it. Don't hesitate to purchase this item. I am glad I did.
So far the camera works really well. I gave it to my father and he is enjoying it and finds it really useful for his uber drives. Best part is the dual camera in case of any problems with customers he has proof.
Product impression: It does not look cheap. It’s well built and the outside feels like rubberized. I left it in a car through very hot summer and still no issue.
Very good resolution: See the photos. Both interior and exterior resolutions are good. Interior of my car is black leather and the person is wearing dark blue jacket but the camera still shows a good image. I redacted the face but details are pretty good. Vehicle license plate numbers can be read on 1080P (outside)/1080P(inside). The menu also offers a higher resolution but then it does not offer dual camera views.
Easy setup: Good suction cup/holder is very steady and not shaky. Well built, plug and play as the factory setting is already good for most users. Menu and buttons are simple and easy to understand. Good user interface.
Excellent/responsive customer: Customer support by email is very responsive and genuinely interested in resolving a customer’s concerns and issues. It generally takes 1 or 2 days to response but they do get back to you. They also don’t hesitate to offer exchange a defective dash cam under warranty after trouble shootings.
Optional GPS: Quick fix GPS antenna and enables speed of a vehicle stamps on video files.
Suggestion: Use good quality micro SD cards made for frequent write/delete like SanDisk High Endurance Video Monitoring. Check once in a while to make sure the files are not corrupted. Reformat every 1 or 2 weeks. Keep one extra SD card as backup. Throw away and get a new one if SD cards keep corrupted or turns on/off the dash cam. Also, always use OEM cable and charger. Connect USB directly to the dash cam rather than through the holder or GPS antenna if you are having any power issue. Update firmware only if necessary so that you know if the dash cam experiences some issues you can spot the issue.
